Matthew Williamson

London fashion streets rocked on a perfect warm September evening at Vogue’s Fashion Night Out . The best action was in the Bond Street area with thousands of eager shoppers many dressed for a great night out. On Bruton Street, shoppers indulged in champagne and food, partying at Maison Martin Margiela, Diane Von Furstenberg and Juicy Couture. Fashion Fabulous London caught up with Matthew Williamson at his magnificent and crowded Bruton Street boutique.  Matthew was in fine form posing for pictures with Alexandra Shulman. As ever the clothes were the real star.

On New Bond Street, Burberry showcased their new A/W men’s coats that will certainly provide some consolation to colder days. The Louis Vuitton store was wowing fashionistas with it’s “fashion-in-motion” handbags and scarves on the ground  floor. Long queues prevailed outside Alexander McQueen’s throughout the evening whilst  Charlotte Olympia on Maddox Street had people crushed into the shoebox sized shop. Shoe addicts were avidly getting their fashion fix trying on skyscaper heels. Snakeing his way through the crowds down Bond Street, we spotted film star Bill Nighy and entering the Asprey store party, designer Henry Holland.

For those lucky enough to be at Vogue’s Fashion Night Out on September 8th, it  will be remembered as one of the very best Fashion Street events ever.  Don’t miss it next year!
