Jacob Kimmie

Jacob Kimmie Spring /Summer 2012 collection at Vauxhall Fashion Scout managed to marry elegance with black fishnet inserts with particularly good sleeves on the dresses – half fabric and half transparent. Long skirts with slits to the thigh looked great. Overall, Jacob Kimmie’s show appeared less edgy and more commercial than previous seasons.

Over at Somerset House at the BFC space, Jaeger London we spotted breakfast TV presenter Lorraine Chase and a host of celebrities. The collection’s theme was jetting people off to the Isle of Mustique for a retro and rather demure beach party. Especially attractive were the shorts with superfine black lace overlay.

Carlotta Actis Barone

Back at Vauxhall Fashion Scout we were just in time to Fashion Mode who presented Carlotta Actis Barone’s kimono- inspired collection with dramatic sleeves and cummerbunds in greens, pinks and purples.

James Hillman

On menswear, James Hillman showcased definitely buyable dark navy suits either with trousers either narrow or super wide flared. Whilst the just above the knee short trousers seemed to us just about okay, the navy raincoats were excellent.

Florian Jayet

Florian Jayet, the third catwalk on the Fashion Mode agenda showed floral bodycon paired with brilliant white made striking and very wearable pieces for a summer wardrobe. Andrea Abraham who styled and organised Fashion Mode demonstrated an excellent ability to put on great catwalk and is certainly a name to watch at future fashion events.
