Holly Fulton

Prints are embellishing so many of the catwalks this  season and perhaps the most leading exponent of this genre at this LFW was Holly Fulton who for her Spring /Summer 2012 collection showed yellows and pastels depicted  in chessboard checks on shift dresses, aqua blue swimming pool motifs on pencil  skirts and wide trousers Las Vegas style. What dowdy Duncan Smith MP in the  front row made of it was anybody’s guess – but the rest of the fashion crowd loved it!

Us at Estethica

Earlier, we joined the throngs of the eco-fashion set at the  vivacious Estethica champagne brunch. Pace-setters with the London 2012 Olympics in mind were East London shop and label, Junky Styling, utilising sustainable  textiles for tracksuits whilst Notting Hill’s boutique “From Somewhere” excellently  showcased Speedo swimsuits upcycled into glam dresses. You’ll find more about  these exciting eco-shops in the 2012 edition of Fashion Fabulous London out  next month. Henrietta Ludgate also drew great attention with eye-catching candy coloured dresses and she too is joining the eco retail shop ranks next month.

Marios Schwab

Back at the British Fashion Council space at Somerset House the hot ticket of the day was Marios Schwab with editors literally fighting to a bag seat. Our favourite pieces were dresses in ivory and coral overlaid with back transparent fabric and sophisticated seam details.
