Julien MacDonald-1Julien Macdonald retained his crown as London’s bling king at The Royal Opera House Covent Garden pulling the stops out in glamour and glitz opting for flowers and tattoo motifs in metallic and cut-aways. Blues and purples on white backgrounds featured prominently. On the front row: Abbey Clancey, Laura Whitmore, Millie MacIntosh, Jimmy Choo and Zandra Rhodes. And that was just for starters on the second day of London Fashion Week…

DSCN5176-1Highlights at the Gyo Yuni Kimchoe show at Fashion Scout, Freemasons Hall, Covent Garden included garden-inspired outfits detailed with floral print fabric in stripes,  frills and fringes. Fashion duo Gyo Kim and Yuni Choe also used drawstrings to create fringe effects.

DSCN5188-1HEMYCA picked an unusual venue for their LFW presentation: The Anatomy Museum, King’s College, Strand, next door Somerset House. Models posed in an upstairs gallery in highly desirable and wearable ensembles.

DSCN5189-1HEMYCA  duo Helen Clinch and Myra Nigris presented a well received relaxed mix of pencil skirts, shorts, prints and plains – and for good measure included their beautifully constructed coats.

The Bloomsbury Set Event at the Central Bloomsbury Baptist Church, 235 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2 was the venue for Lello Pagnotta Creative Furs showing jackets, capes and coats in dyed pastels pinks and blues. Floral designs were created within the fur for the more adventurous alongside classic designs.

DSCN5222-1Although it was a fair trek to Shao Yen show at the Granary Building, King’s Cross – it was definitely worth it!. Brightening up our evening were delightful sunflower outfits with inspired by Van Gogh. Brush strokes of yellows and browns featured on white silks and cottons. Here are few more of our favourite shots we saw at the show:

DSCN5220-1Shao Yen’s skirt lengths on the whole were short. Paint brush earrings added a witty touch. Afterwards there was a very good reception party where you could get a closer look at the collection.

??????????2nd Party of the evening! Russell at the Hemyca afterparty, Mason House, Argyll Street, Oxford Circus. Vodka and cranberry cocktails were served to celebrate another successful collection!

DSCN5230-1Tracy at Rick Owens party in Selfridges – it had an out of this world atmosphere!

Our third and final party of night was at the Rick Owens party at Selfridges where the avant-garde came out in force. Held in the garage, fashion designers included Gareth Pugh as well as Alexa Chung and pop diva Paloma Faith. Completely filled with smoke as we entered, we nearly walked into a brick wall thanks to the foggy mist! Walking into the main area we saw people walking towards us out of the mist like a scene out of Close Encounters of The Third Kind! Hard edged club music and white parallel beams created a super cool atmosphere. Also floating around was Edie Campbell and Lindsay Lohan. Great party and great finish to the second day of London Fashion Week!
