Another great design from Erdem for AW17! We can recommend a visit to Erdem’s very elegant boutique, 70 South Audley Street, London W1.The ground floor houses the main collection and the lower floor pre-season.

Curvenetic Face Exercise ImageFacial exercises are proving to be a big hit with fashionistas at the moment. One set that has been very successful for many years are those developed by Curvenetics UK. With Curvenetics the muscles of the face are exercised precisely with tiny movements for superb facial conditioning. They do not stretch the skin.

The benefits that you get from facial exercises are very different from those of skincare products. Skincare products act just on the skin and not the muscles. Curvenetic face exercises complement the benefits of skincare products such as high quality creams, leaving you with a well-textured, well- toned healthier looking face. As a natural, non-surgical technique it ticks all the right boxes:

√ Keeps facial muscles taut

√ Helps reduce lines

√ Helps reduce wrinkles

√ Maintains youthful look

√ Tones face

√ Improves texture

√ Complements skincare products

Ready for your own full FACIAL EXERCISE?  Book a 30 minute personalised facial exercise programme, £50 per session in Oxford Circus.

See Now! Buy Now! Was the new fashion runway concept to hit many London Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2017 collections from big brands such as Burberry through to retailers such as Oliver Spencer and emerging brands like Helter. First up, Rennie Mackintosh’s watercolour paintings inspired Teatum Jones’s LFW show at BFC Space, Soho, London (pictured above). Teatum Jones as did many others followed the traditional route of previewing for SS17.

027-1

We loved the Rohmir show at Fashion Scout, Freemasons Hall, Covent Garden. On Rohmir’s catwalk the English Country House was the source of inspiration with a large collection of glamorous yet well-behaved sophisticated dresses. Lots of florals from Liberty-style small prints to bolder painterly prints for daywear and evening were in evidence. Tweeds on dresses and suits were edged with feathers  Designer Olga Roh did a great job and we are great fans of her Maddox Street boutique just off Bond Street.

Highlights from great shows you may not have seen yet! Fashion Fabulous at London Fashion Week AW16

DSCN6003-1Fashion Fabulous has been going to London Fashion Week for sixteen years and over the years seen many amazing shows, presentations, interviewed inspiring designers and had the pleasure of attending lots of great parties! Compiled are some the highlights of the latest London Fashion Week that took place on 18th-22nd September…

Here’s Issa (above) showing the sheer elegance of pure whites at their London Fashion Week catwalk show.

DSCN6001-1Signature draping was used on silk and jersey dresses. Issa showed fascinating geometric prints that are sure to be a big hit in London stores next Spring.

This time the hub of London Fashion Week moved from Somerset House to Brewer Street Car Park, Soho! The highlight of the London Fashion Calendar this is the go to event where top and upcoming designers showed their Spring/Summer 2016 collections on the catwalk or exhibit at this trade exhibition. London hotels and restaurants are filled with the international fashion set. Besides the on-schedule shows, Fashion Scout ran a parallel alternative schedule of catwalk shows and exhibits at the Freemasons Hall, Covent Garden. Also On|Off was back with shows at the Vinyl Factory in Marshall Street and new to London Fashion Week was Scoop at the Saatchi Gallery, King’s Road.

DSCN5991-1A great presentation at Edeline Lee (above) featured aqua, lilac, primrose yellow and coral colour blocked in a cool relaxed but striking manner.

DSCN5996-1Vielma opted for a retro ” Vegas baby” theme. Midnight blues with star motifs are going to be a favourite in this collection.

Fashion maximalism ruled at Fyodor Golan’s catwalk show! The inspiration apparently was “Transformers” the sci-fi iconic futuristic robots.

Fyodor Golan used lots of colour! The shoes were made in collaboration with Kat Maconie.

DSCN6000-1Dame Zandra Rhodes new collection was inspired by Malaysia where its produced.

DSCN6003-1We liked Robert Wun’s collection at On|Off at the Vinyl Factory, Soho

…and Marketa Martiskova also at On|Off

DSCN6016-1Keiko Nishiyama created delicate butterfly prints at a beautiful presentation at Sketch, London

DSCN6033-1

We loved the Belstaff LFW SS16 collection inspired by the thrust of waves and the hums of throttled engines

DSCN6026-2Georgette dresses were mixed with leather jackets making a more feminine look for Belstaff

DSCN6034-1Tracy Rose and Russell Rose at Belstaff

DSCN6035-1Heavy London used their Designer Showroom space effectively with different static presentations each day.

This is a shot from Heavy London’s installation on the final day. Great urbanwear!

We also very much liked the Mayrafdane handbags at the LFW Designer Showrooms

This Atelier Swarovski necklace displayed at the LFW Designer Showrooms will retail at  £1400.

DSCN6004-3Tracy Rose at Golden Square, Soho, wearing Pastel Spotted Hat. The public were able to relax on deckchairs and watch live streaming of catwalk shows on a giant screen!

DSCN6007-1…And here’s Fashion Fabulous’s Russell Rose soaking up the atmosphere here too!

DSCN6027-1On the last day of LFW Tracy Rose went for strawberries and cream!

DSCN5273-1At times at London Fashion Week, we thought we were running all over London. The Topshop Show Space this season parked itself in a car park along the Grays Inn Road, King’s Cross. The venue was excellent! And so was the Michael van der Ham show that successfully demonstrated his signature collaging of fabrics. One of our favourites in the collection were the high waisted shorts paired with platform loafers.

DSCN5270-1For a more sophisticated look Michael van der Ham showed elegant eveningwear detailed in large beaded appliqué.

DSCN5271-1Michael van der Ham used layers of custom designed organzas, georgettes and silks to creat stunning silhouettes

DSCN5272-1We also liked the dresses in blue, grey and lilac hues with asymmetric hemlines.

??????????Fashion Fabulous’s Tracy Rose  and Russell Rose at Michael van der Ham catwalk show

DSCN5293-1Traditional Chinese meets Western influence was the theme of Huishan Zhang’s show. A name to watch, Huishan Zhang incorporates Chinese handwriting into the designs.

DSCN5288-1A champagne afternoon tea was served whilst the salon style show took place at the Mirror Room restaurant, Rosewood Hotel, London. It all looked very yummy but we didn’t get the chance to even sip a cup of tea as for a large part of London Fashion Week we were filming for a Chinese television programme.

DSCN5287-1We adored the full skirted feminine dresses – perfect layered in white, lemon, pale pink and blue. Dresses covered with Swarovski crystal dazzled the audience. Huishan Zhang is stocked at A La Mode, off Sloane Sqaure and Fenwick, Bond Street. He told us after the show how he was inspired by Fiona Rae paintings.

DSCN5277-1Tracy in the BFC Courtyard Show Space, Somerset House, Strand, London

DSCN5298-1Away from the shows there were lots to see around the showrooms at Somerset House. The Newgen Designer Showroom Reception was particularly well attended and a great chance to see some of the pieces from the shows up close.

DSCN5243-1London leads the world in sustainable and ethical clothing. The Estethica reception showcasing designers at Somerset House was, of course, a big hit.

DSCN5237Catching our eye was Katie Jones showing great knitwear at Estethica

DSCN5255-2Edeline Lee is based in East London and dedicated her collection to her redecorating her house. Models touched the ceilings of the installations – so her home is either very cramped or she’s very tall! Draped and folded fabrics on sleeves and bodices with striking graphic stripes and fringes were attractive and very wearable.

DSCN5258-1Edeline Lee showed at Somerset House in a purpose-built marquee on the River Terrace. DSCN5314-2A swarm of bees seemed to have landed on London Fashion Week not just at Burberry Prorsum but also the final show of the week at the BFC Courtyard show space featuring H by Hakaan Yildirim. Honeycomb hexagons and bees were main motifs throughout the runway. Transparent fabrics and woven jacquards coupled with handmade beadings, embroidery and lace were used to great effect.

DSCN5324-1The final show of London Fashion Week at Somerset House, H by Hakaan Yildirim finished on a high note!

??????????Fashion Fabulous’s Russell Rose relaxing out after the finish of LFW at Tom’s Terrace, Somerset House. The weather for the whole five days of London Fashion Week had been great!
