043-1Joshua Kane was one of the hottest tickets on Day 1 of London Collections: Men featuring a classy runway of delectable tailored outfits.  We loved the bronze tailored evening suits in stunning brocade.

033-1The show kicked off with burgundy wool coats with detachable fur hemlines Giant dogtooth, stripes adorned with gold metal buttons and zips.

042-1Designs were inspired by the Siege of Sidney Street in London’s East End in 1911. Winston Churchill led an army of police and troops against a heavily armed gang. Churchill wore a fur collared coat and here Kane uses lambswool fur collars on bomber jackets to great effect.

030-1The show took place at Christ Church Commercial Street a stone’s throw away from Joshua Kane’s Flagship Store in 53 Brushfield Street London E1.

Celebrities on the catwalk included Dougie Poynter from McBusted, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas and US rapper Machine Kelly.  Frowing  DJ Alex Zane, Leah Weller, Made-in Chelsea stars including Oliver Proudlock. Sitting alongside us DJ Roman Kemp from Captial FM and singer Betsy-Blue.

008-1

We liked the Universal Works show featuring navy and khaki outfits

010-1Here’s me with David Keyte, co-founder and designer of Universal Works at their LCM collection show in Marylebone. Check out Universal Works in Lambs Conduit Street and Berwick Street more details on http://www.universalworks.co.uk

021-1Next up it was off to Nigel Cabourn’s new collection at his shop The Army Gym, 28 Henrietta Street, Covent Garden. We were impressed with a treated cotton mac. These hardworking clothes are just the ticket for urban warriors looking to combine functionality with fashionable casual styling.

017-1Nigel himself was cheerfully circulating amongst his guests and took to photobombing a few shots including the one above!

E.Tautz AW16E.Tautz showed double breasted trench coats in wool/cashmere paired with crew neck sweaters and grey wool pleated trousers. The show took place at the BFC Space, 180 The Strand.

038Taking a break between shows. From railway arches to restaurant cellars to super luxury hotels, London Collections Men took us all over the Capital late into the nights.

007-1Great looks for the winter in The Heading North collection by Belstaff

012-1Some more great jackets for the winter by Belstaff !

001-1Shearling and leather are very much part of the Belstaff vocabulary. This season it was all about layering.

019-1The event was attended by actor Jack Fox (pictured) Dermot O’Leary and Darren Kennedy. “Blue Steel” cocktails were served as a forerunner to fashion comedy film Zoolander 2.

029-1Baartmans and Siegel showed relaxed elegance with a camel and grey colour focus.

014-1Zig-Zags galore at Christopher Kane collection at his flagship store in Mount Street, Mayfair, London W1!

057-1We were impressed with these excellent dinner jackets by Chester Barrie showing  at the Palm Court in the Waldorf Hotel.

064-1Chester Barrie showed Windowpane Checks in blues and greys to great effect

070-1Matching floral shirts and jacket over polo was just one of the great looks at the Duchamp Collection showing at the Rosewood Hotel, Holborn.

073-1More checks on smart casuals. Duchamp showed crisp cottons under single-breasted wool jackets.

078-1Gieves and Hawkes collection was a big success with Tommy Hilfiger and David Gandy amongst the onlookers. Bronze brocade appeared again as a key look for next party season!

079-1This coat also impressed us at Gieves and Hawkes whot stripped out their Savile Row flagship shop for London Collections: Men

094-1Across the road at Dashing Tweeds, 26 Sackville Street, Guy Hills showed his new collection of innovative fabrics in classic British styles.

100-1Whilst the shop is small, Dashing Tweeds packed a big punch with this contemporary leather panelled coat.

006-1Thom Sweeney showed sleek immaculate tailoring

008-1Thom Sweeney at 33a Bruton Place, Mayfair is definitely a place to visit!

027-1Soaking up the great shows and presentations!
