QP already has a great reputation for Italian cuisine in Mayfair so it was no surprise that there was going to be a fantastic turnout for their new downstairs QP Lounge, a cool spacious beautifully decorated comfortable room.

A big opening is often a good predictor of great food and drink and this Dolce Vita themed party here was no exception. With a magnificent Aston Martin parked outside and a host of models and socialites in Dolce Vita styled in black and white flowing dresses this was a night to remember!

Dover Street is now a stronghold for designer brands with Victoria Beckham at No.30. Christian Louboutin Men’s at 35, Jimmy Choo Men’s 35a, and McQ at 14 and Wolf & Badger to name but a few.

On entering the ground floor QP Restaurant there’s a stunning chandelier, smart tables and a very good bar!

Downstairs, the bar is nice and long with  some great pictures on the walls and lots of tables. Service was excellent. The downstairs is often used for private events such as art exhibitions.

Moscow Mule is a one of the signature cocktails here – and very good it is too!

….There’s a formidable selection of wines too to pair with the Michelin star food.

The QP bar food list is reasonably priced with Chicken Caesar Salad £10, Salmon Tartare, avocado and tomatoes £16 and plenty of other yummy choices. We loved the restaurant’s fillet of line caught seabass that will set you back £30.

Chanel, Versace and Valentino were just a few of the designer labels we saw people wearing although we did see some more independent labels from designer-run boutiques such as Nico Didonna from nearby Soho, Unconditional in Covent Garden and Rupert Sanderson off Berkeley Square. Fashion Fabulous’s Russell Rose (pictured above) went for an Armani linen suit.

Can’t wait to go again to the QP Lounge – and try a few of their  Martinis!
